Frequently Asked Questions

1.

What should I do to prepare my horse?

I recommend bathing your horse the day before (or morning of if you have booked an evening session), and lightly lunging them about an hour prior to our session time.  In addition, the best look comes with clean and oiled tack, braiding is up to you!  For Fine Art photos, I highly recommend show quality appearances.

2.

What if it rains?

No worries!  Unfortunately we cannot control the weather, but if rain appears to be in the forecast, I am more than willing to work with you to reschedule.  I am always in touch the day before a session to confirm the weather regardless!  We can even get ahead of the game by planning a rain date in advance just in case!

3.

What should I wear?

Wear what you are most comfortable in!  Feel free to reach out to me prior to your session and we can further discuss best colors and styles that work with your horse's coloring, or others.  For families, I highly recommend complimentary colors over one dominate color for a visual variety.  My website portfolio has a number of sample images to help you get an idea of what may appeal to you!

4.

Where do sessions take place?

As I do not have a studio, I travel to you.  Sometimes the best locations are the ones most familiar to you - a nice home yard, barn, or park.  I can help select the best location for you!  My Basic Collection is only bookable at Goddard Park in Warwick, Rhode Island or at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island.  Nearly half of my family and senior sessions take place at Goddard Park.  There are so many different locations throughout that you can really get a total different look in the same area!  Roger Williams Park is great for those looking for peaceful and quaint scenery with plenty of greenery and gardens!

5.

How will I receive my images after my session?

Your collection images will be sent to you after the session via a Pixieset link where you will have the ability to download them and purchase prints or additional digital images.  No worries, you can access the gallery links on all devices - I can send a link to you via text, email, or through social media.  While I do love photography, it is not my full-time job and I want your images to be perfect, so please allow 2-3 weeks for portrait session gallery delivery, and 2-4 weeks for wedding gallery delivery.

6.

Can I order prints?

Absolutely!  I offer additional high-resolution digitals, photo enlargements, a variety of wall decor, and custom layflat albums among other photo gifts for purchase after your session.  If there is something you are looking for that I do not offer on my print sheet, feel free to ask!  I am sure my lab does it!

7.

How do I pay for my session?

The full session investment fee is required on the day of your session.  Payments can be accepted in the form of cash or check, or digitally via Venmo or PayPal.
